Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric) with current licensure.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology, medical evaluation, and mental illness treatment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, and confidentiality regulations.
• Ability to work across cultures with trauma-informed care.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with psychiatrists and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medication assessments and crisis response for new and existing clients.
• Develop individual service plans and provide ongoing medication management.
• Provide health education to staff, caregivers, and clients.
• Maintain documentation of services, charts, and informed consent.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and ECGs; monitor labs and medication levels.
• Write prescriptions for psychotropic meds per regulations.
• Coordinate with Mental Health to optimize treatment plans.
• Collaborate with consulting Psychiatrists for complex cases.
• Develop practice protocols for mental health problems.
• Provide general health counseling under Medical Director supervision.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement.
• Performs other duties and adhere to policies.
