Palletizer Operator (3rd Shift)

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Palletizer Operator to join our production team on 3rd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for operating palletizing equipment, forklifts, and related machinery to ensure finished products are safely packaged, accurately counted, and properly stored. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently while following all company safety procedures.
- Maintain continuous operation of the palletizer, shrink wrapper, and related equipment.
- Monitor production lines and remove finished products as they reach the end of the line.
- Keep the palletizer supplied with pallets, slip sheets, and shrink wrap to prevent downtime.
- Accurately count and track finished products and communicate inventory counts to the Packer Operator for work order completion.
- Report all extra bag counts, including setoffs and metal detector rejections.
- Properly store empty bags and other materials in designated locations.
- Ensure all finished products are placed in the correct warehouse locations according to EQMS guidelines.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and work closely with Maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Prevent palletizer shutdowns caused by product buildup or line congestion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete all required production, quality, and regulatory documentation, both written and electronic.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), housekeeping standards, and company policies.
- Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Lead.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations using a calculator.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds from floor level to a height of 50 inches using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, including on top of bins, equipment legs, and platforms.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Preferred
- Previous forklift experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
