Job summary

Emory Healthcare EMS is seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our Quick Response Team in Houston County, GA. The successful candidate will respond to 911 calls and provide critical care transports, demonstrating leadership, quick decision-making and exceptional clinical skills.

Responsibilities include emergency and non-emergency response, airway management, IV therapy, ALS, documentation, and collaboration with dispatch and receiving facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia Paramedic License required.
• Driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification.
• AHA/ARC PALS certification or within 9 months of hire.
• CPT training within 9 months of hire.
• FAST-ED stroke scale or within 3 months of hire.
• GA Critical Care Paramedic Endorsement within 1 year of hire.
• CPR Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency 911 calls in Houston County, GA, and surrounding areas.
• Provide advanced pre-hospital assessment, treatment, and stabilization of patients.
• Ensure safe transport of critically ill or injured patients to medical facilities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in airway management, IV therapy, ALS, and other critical care procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and ensure readiness of emergency response vehicles.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and transports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical teams, and receiving facilities.
• Adhere to EMS policies, procedures, and safety protocols; pursue ongoing education.
