Brown University Health is seeking a Physician’s Assistant to work under a physician’s supervision in Newport Hospital and Brown Health Medical Group. Under the supervision of a Registered Physician, performs several medical procedures, including pre, intra and post-operative management of patients, assistance with surgical procedures, wound care, and others. Writes admission, pre-operative and post-operative orders for patient care that must be countersigned by a physician. Reports directly to the Manager of the OR and Director of Perioperative services. Exposed to surgical procedures and patient care environments. Regularly experiences mental/visual fatigue from job pressures.
Performs independently within the departments policies and practices.Refers specific complex problems to the supervisor when clarification of the departmental policies and procedures are required.
Pay Range: $127,504.00-$161,782.40
