Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA) to join a busy plastic surgery practice in Federal Way. The PA will care for pre- and post-operative patients across breast, body and face procedures under a Plastic Surgeon on the St.

Francis Hospital campus. Responsibilities include supporting high-quality, cost-effective patient care with on-call duties shared among the surgeon and two APPs; Monday–Friday schedule with long shifts and flexible evenings if cases run

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Surgical experience as an APP is preferred.
• Washington State license in good standing.
• Board certified as a Physician Assistant.
• DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Care for pre- and post-operative patients in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
• Provide services under supervision of a Plastic Surgeon.
• Participate in design and delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Advanced Practice Provider (P.A,) you will be joining a collegial team of supportive and board certified providers and busy plastic surgery practice in Federal Way. Our new PA will provide services and contribute to the design and delivery of high quality, cost effective, values- based patient care for our patients under the supervision of a Plastic Surgeon based on the campus of St. Francis Hospital, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.

Everyday you will care for pre and post operative patients in reconstructive and cosmetic procedures of surgery of the breast, body and face. Our plastic surgeon has extensive experience in breast and body surgery including breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, tummy tuck, arm lift, thigh lift and liposuction surgeries. He is committed to treating patients after major weight loss and offers comprehensive body contouring procedures. He has a special interest in reconstruction after breast cancer surgery (mastectomy reconstruction, oncoplastic reconstruction after lumpectomy, breast revision surgery). He additionally performs gender affirming top surgery. Finally, he treats a wide range of conditions such as skin cancer, complex wound reconstruction and nerve conditions of the upper extremity (carpal tunnel syndrome).

Monday-Friday, 4 - 10 hour shifts per week (alternating Wednesday/Thursday off), schedule with flexibility into the evening if cases run longer than expected. On-call duties split amongst the surgeon and 2 APPs.

Job Requirements

Required Experience:

• At least one-year experience required as an Physician Assistant
• Surgical experience as an APP is preferred

Pay Range

$141,240 - $194,683 /year
