The role balances inpatient and outpatient responsibilities within a hybrid structure and supports professional growth in a diverse care setting.

The team comprises 4 physicians and 4 APPs, with a focus on comprehensive assessments, evidence-based plans, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• National APRN certification OR PA certification.
• Current Florida PA/NP license.
• BLS certification.
• DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
• Manage acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
• Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
• Assist with hospital rounding and consults.
• Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in office call and hospital rotation; weekends/holidays with compensatory time off.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
• BLS
• DEA License

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of interventional pain management experience
• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record
