True North Consultants, Inc. in Rutland, Vermont, seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Foley Cancer Center.

This role provides comprehensive oncology care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment across outpatient clinic, inpatient, emergency department, and telehealth settings. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with no weeknight call and one weekend per month on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NP or PA oncology experience preferred
• Vermont licensure (or ability to obtain)
• ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC as applicable
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oncology patient care under collaborative physician partnership
• Obtain detailed medical histories and perform focused physical examinations
• Assess, diagnose, and manage oncology-related conditions and treatment side effects
• Interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory findings
• Develop and implement treatment and symptom management plans
• Provide patient and family-centered education and counseling
• Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and clinical communication
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives

This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive oncology care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment across outpatient clinic, inpatient, emergency department, and telehealth settings.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oncology patient care under collaborative physician partnership
• Obtain detailed medical histories and perform focused physical examinations

Qualifications

For Nurse Practitioners:

• Master's degree in Nursing

• National certification through ANCC or equivalent

For Physician Assistants:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program
• Registered with the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice
• NCCPA certification

For All Candidates:

• Minimum 2 years of NP or PA experience in oncology or related specialty preferred
• Vermont licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC as applicable)
• Completion of patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint certification per department guidelines
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems
