Job summary

Clinical Associates in Maryland is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join the Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism team. You will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders under a board-certified endocrinologist.

Requirements include Maryland PA/NP license, excellent communication and multitasking, and proficiency with NextGen EHR. This is a full-time role with on-call duties and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner credentials from an accredited program.
• Current Maryland PA/NP license required.
• Excellent communication and empathy with patients.
• Proficiency with NextGen or similar EHR; strong computer skills.

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA / NP) with experience in treating multiple endocrine disorders to join our Endocrinology team! Candidates must have proven experience diagnosing, treating and managing patients with diabetes and othervarious endocrine conditions.

This is an outstanding full time opportunity that does not require inpatient consults or admissions. On call is shared evenly between the providers.

Under the supervision of a Board‑Certified Endocrinologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses related to the endocrine system.
• Perform patient examinations.
• Develop and manage treatment plans.
• Prescribe medication.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals or medical facilities.
• Order diagnostic tests.
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner credentials from an accredited program/ school.
• Current State of Maryland Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with patients.
• Proficiency in EHR (NextGen is a plus) and computer skills with a willingness to learn new applications.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Shall speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
