Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiothoracic surgery team in Grand Junction, CO on a PRN schedule. You will assist surgeons during procedures, harvest vessels, and manage perioperative care including PACU discharges.

The role requires CT surgery experience, an active Colorado license, BLS and DEA, and credentialing with Intermountain Health. Join a mission-driven health system focused on quality care and patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a First Assist PA or NP required—NO NEW GRADS.
• 1 year CT experience with proven independence in EVH.
• Active, unobstructed Colorado license or ability to obtain one.
• BLS certification and DEA registration are required.
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in performing procedures during surgery.
• Perform Radial Artery and Saphenous vein harvesting.
• Place Foley catheters and invasive lines.
• Discharge Same Day or PACU patients.
• Daily team rounding and CT Surgery clinic follow-ups.

About this role:

As an Advanced Practice Provider in cardiothoracic (CT) surgery you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.

You will practice at our CT Surgery Clinic and St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO

You will be on a PRN schedule that will be discussed with you upon hire

• Assist surgeons in performing procedures during surgery
• Perform Radial Artery and Saphenous vein harvesting
• Place Foley catheters and invasive lines
• Discharge Same Day or PACU patients
• Daily team rounding
• Clinic responsibilities include new H&P and surgical follow ups
• Q3 call includes rounding on weekends during call and being first call for the nursing floor
