Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) for the Advanced Heart Failure/HVI Clinic to provide expert cardiovascular care and lead a key clinical program.

The APRN or PA will collaborate with physicians, manage complex HF patients, and maintain protocols with supervising physicians as required. Florida licensure and HF/transplant experience are required.

Qualifications

• PA and/or NP with Acute Care certification eligible.
• At least 1 year of Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant, and General Cardiology experience.
• Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing and medical services for heart failure patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to diagnose and manage patient care.
• Maintain annual protocol with supervising physician as required by state agencies.
• Lead the Advanced Heart Failure/HVI Clinic operations.

Job Summary

The APRN or Physician Assistant provides nursing and medical services to individuals, families and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems. Maintains an annual protocol with supervising physician, as required by state professional regulatory agencies. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

PA and/or NP, with Acute Carecertification is eligible for this role. At least one year ofAdvanced Heart Failure, Transplant, and General Cardiology experience necessary. Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
