Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner
Ocean & Monmouth Counties, NJ | Full-Time | On-Site | Outpatient

What You'll Do
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions
- Manage conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoarthritis, and other inflammatory and autoimmune disorders
- Conduct comprehensive histories and physical examinations
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Prescribe and manage medications according to established clinical guidelines
- Order and interpret laboratory testing, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Perform joint injections and other appropriate in-office procedures
- Educate patients on medications, disease management, lifestyle modifications, and symptom control
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
What We're Looking For
- Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license
- Previous Nurse Practitioner experience
- Rheumatology experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
- Knowledge of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
- EMR proficiency
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative specialty practice
Additional Experience We Value
The following experience is preferred, but not required:
- Joint injections
- Suturing
- Botulinum toxin (Botox) administration
- Critical care and/or hospital medicine
- CPT coding and billing documentation
- Telehealth and remote patient management
- Management of complex or acute patient presentations
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid NJ licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Certification in relevant specialties (e.g., Rheumatology, pain management, neurology) preferred
- Preferred experience in Rheumatology care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems and documentation standards
