Endeavor Health Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) in Electrophysiology to join the Glenbrook Hospital team in Glenview, IL. The role is inpatient, with a 40-hour week, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, and no weekends or on‑call requirements.

This full‑time position emphasizes comprehensive EP patient care, device management, and collaboration with physicians; competitive hourly pay and a robust benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• IL APN/PA licensure required in the state of IL.
• Master’s level program completion as PA or NP in specialty area.
• ACLS/BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1 year of APN/PA experience in Electrophysiology or related cardiovascular subspecialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides histories and physical examinations; orders and interprets diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory studies.
• Prescribes medications and other therapies as appropriate.
• Educates patients on treatment plans in pre- and post-procedure settings.
• Documents progress notes and updates in the medical record daily.
• Ensures continuity of care across clinic and hospital settings with the care team.

$61.22 - $85.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) as an APP in Electrophysiology.

Clinical Responsibilities

Under the direction of collaborating physician(s), the APP provides comprehensive patient care. Performs histories and physical examinations; orders and interpretes diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory studies; and prescribes medications and other therapies as appropriate. Educates patients on treatment plans in pre- and post-procedure settings and is responsible for accurate, timely documentation through medical record updates and daily progress notes. Ensures continuity of care across clinic and hospital settings in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Practices in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and in alignment with Endeavor Health Policies.

Qualifications

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
• Education: Completion of Master’s level program as PA or NP in specialty area
• Certification: ACLS/BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience: 1 year prior APN/PA experience in the subspecialty of Electrophysiology or related Cardiovascular Specialty highly preferred.

Special Knowledge And Skills Required

• Specialized skill in electrophysiology care encompassing complex arrhythmia management, EP lab workflows, and advanced cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT).
• Device management including interrogation and optimization is a plus.
• Strong understanding of patient selection, peri-procedural management, and longitudinal follow up.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience in Electrophysiology or related cardiovascular specialty.
• Experience working in complex, high-acuity procedural environments.
