Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver comprehensive care for blood and marrow transplant and immunotherapy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The APP will assess, triage and manage patients, perform procedures such as bone marrow procedures, and collaborate with a transplant team to ensure high-quality care. WA licensure, national certification, and proficiency in communication are required.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a Physician Assistant training program or Nurse Practitioner program and be eligible to practice in Washington.
• National Certification is required for the profession.
• Must be licensed for schedule II drug authority at credentialing time.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Must work well in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Must enjoy long-term relationships with patients undergoing intense therapy.

Responsabilités

• Provide care for blood and marrow transplant and immunotherapy patients in inpatient and outpatient settings under physician supervision.
• Perform history taking, physical examinations, order diagnostics, review radiographs, and prescribe treatments.
• Perform bone marrow aspirations and lumbar punctures; assist with bone marrow harvests and donor follow-up.

Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides care for blood and marrow transplant patients and immunotherapy patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the attending physician. The APP is responsible for the primary care of the patient to include assessment, triage and management of the transplant patient as part of a collaborative transplant team. Responsibilities include obtain medical history, perform physical examinations, review and order diagnostic studies, radiographs and prescribe treatments. APPs perform bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures and are first assists with Bone Marrow Harvests and provide follow-up care of bone marrow donors under the supervision of attending physician.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant training program or appropriate Nurse Practitioner program and be able to practice in the state of Washington (licensed).
• Have National Certification as appropriate for profession.
• Must be licensed for schedule II drug authority at time of credentialing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Must enjoy long-term relationships with patients undergoing intense therapy.

Preferred:

• Oncology or BMT experience preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $140,000 to $210,752, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.

This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
