Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (per diem) for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Nyack, NY. Qualifications

• Fluency in Cardiology protocols and EKG interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical history and physical on patients undergoing non-invasive cardiac procedures.
• Order, screen, and interpret necessary lab and diagnostic tests.
• Provides patient education regarding tests, procedures, post-discharge care and follow-up.
• Assists physicians during hospital tests and procedures in the Cardiology service.
• Responds to urgent/emergent situations with CPR and ACLS until physician arrives.

## Advanced Practice ProviderApplylocations: 160 North Midland Avenuetime type: Per diemposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR232579**City/State:**Nyack, New York**Department:**Cardiac Cath Lab**Work Shift:**Day**Work Days:**DAYS VARY, MON-FRI**Scheduled Hours:**7:30 AM-4 PM**Scheduled Daily Hours:**8.5 HOURS**Scheduled Weekly Hours:**0**Hourly Rate/Range:**$85 per hourFor positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors. **Job Summary** Under the supervision of the Cardiology Director, provides medical care to patients undergoing Non-Invasive Cardiac procedures, and tests. **Essential Functions*** JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: Advanced practice Provider will have the following job responsibilities: • Performs complete medical history and physical on all patients evaluated. • Formulates the differential diagnosis and plan of care. • Monitors patients’ progress and writes daily notes in the medical record. • Order, screen, and interpret all necessary lab and diagnostic tests. • Writes appropriate hospital orders. • Provides patient care in the following areas of the Cardiology service: PET CT, Radiology Department. • Provides primary and secondary assistance to physicians during hospital tests and procedures. • Intervenes in an appropriate manner in urgent an emergent situation by performing CPR and initiating ACLS protocols until physician arrives. • Adheres to documentation standards, including departmental and hospital wide specific standards. • Attends educational lectures, conferences, and in-services. • Provides patient education regarding hospital tests, procedures, post-discharge care and follow-up. • Performs other duties as required and/or requested based on the needs of the patient, department and organization. • Adheres to departmental age-specific criteria as defined in departmental standard. • Adheres to all Hospital and department policies and procedures Employee Performance Standards: A.
