Scott County Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate care under physician supervision. The APP will diagnose, treat, and manage health conditions across the patient population, collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care.
The role includes two schedule options: two weekends per month (Friday 5pm to Monday 8am) and two weeknights per week (5pm to 8am).

Two weekends per month that will go from Friday evening at 5pm - Monday morning at 8am and Two weeknights per week beginning at 5pm on weekday until 8am the following weekday.
Typical work week is 4 clinical days, 5th day for documentation if needed. Requires no more than one weekend in four (Friday-Monday morning) and one weeknight per week (Monday-Thursday). All call is first call with physician support. Holiday call is divided evenly amongst all mid-level providers.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) delivers high-quality, age-appropriate patient care in alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. Working within the scope of their training, credentialing, and under physician supervision, the APP provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare services. This role supports comprehensive patient care by applying clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage health conditions across the patient population served.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you make a direct impact by delivering compassionate, high-quality, age-appropriate care that supports the hospital’s vision. You use your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage patient needs, improving outcomes through timely, effective treatment and preventative care. By collaborating closely with physicians and the care team, you ensure continuity of care while enhancing the patient experience and overall quality of services.
Schedule: Full-time, exempt position. Specific schedule details are outlined in the APP contracts. Regular and punctal attendance is required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate clearly and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Must have adequate hearing and vision, and the ability to use proper body mechanics to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and maneuver equipment weight up to 150-175 pounds. Position involves prolonged standing and walking on hard surfaces for extended shifts, as well as frequent reaching, bending, and turning to provide patient care. Requires strong cognitive abilities, including critical thinking, prioritization, and the capacity to process and manage large volumes of information in a fast-paced, high-stimulation environment. Must also demonstrate effective reading, communication, and basic mathematical skills for documentation and care coordination.
Equipment: Cardiac monitors, telemetry, thermometers, blood pressure and oxygen saturation machines, defibrillator, pacer, crash carts, phone, intercom, fax, computer, shredder, copy machine, whirlpool, stretcher, suction machine, hospital beds, nebulizer, crutches, splints, IV pumps, etc.
