Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Cardiology practice in Rockville Centre, NY. You will work in close collaboration with Dr. Thierry Duchatellier, a board-certified cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience and affiliations with Mercy Hospital–Rockville Centre and St. Catherine of Siena Hospital.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a physician who is highly respected by both peers and patients and who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, and heart rhythm disorders.
About Dr. Thierry Duchatellier:
Dr. Duchatellier is a distinguished cardiologist with over two decades of clinical experience. He earned his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and is recognized for his expertise in treating complex cardiovascular conditions. Patients consistently praise him for his compassionate care and thorough approach. Key Responsibilities:
Perform cardiac assessments, monitor chronic cardiovascular conditions, and manage follow-up care
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests
Provide patient education regarding prevention, lifestyle changes, and treatment plans
Collaborate with Dr. Duchatellier and other care team members to optimize patient outcomes
Document clinical findings and maintain thorough, timely medical records using EMR (EPIC experience preferred)
Qualifications:
Licensed and certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of New York
National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
Cardiology experience preferred but not required; strong interest in cardiovascular care is essential
Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
DEA certification or eligibility
