Job summary

AFC Urgent Care in Memphis is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Provider to deliver urgent and primary care. You will perform physical exams, diagnose, and manage treatment plans in a fast-paced clinic, collaborating with physicians and staff. Strong EMR documentation and safety compliance are required.

The ideal candidate has TN NP licensure, 3–4 years in urgent care or related fields, and may have FNP certification. Telemedicine and flexible scheduling may be available.

Qualifications

• Current NP license in Tennessee.
• FNP certification preferred.
• 3–4 years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience.
• Proficient in performing minor procedures and charting.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and primary care to patients of all ages.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or other Advanced Practice Provider to join our team and help deliver exceptional care to our growing patient population.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care and primary care services to patients of all ages.
• Conduct physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
• Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.
• Prescribe medications and educate patients on treatment options.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Tennessee.
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care.
• Proficiency in performing minor procedures.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patients efficiently.
• Familiarity with urgent care billing procedures and coding practices.
• Knowledge of telemedicine services and ability to provide virtual care as needed.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain
