Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the High Point Main Critical Care practice. This full-time APP role emphasizes patient-centered care in a fast-paced team environment.

The position offers 40 hours per week with a schedule including 13 hour shifts per year. Licensure and NCCPA certification are required; a Master’s in PA studies is preferred.

  • Orders and interprets lab studies and diagnostic procedures.

Education/Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program, Master's degree preferred
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, And/or REGISTRATION
  • Current applicable state Medical Board Medical License
  • Certified by NCCPA
Essential Functions
  • Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
  • Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
  • Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines
