Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 3-month assignment in Lafayette, CO. The clinic focuses on triage and treating higher acuity patients across all ages; shift patterns include weekdays and select weekends with competitive hourly pay.

The ideal candidate holds an active CO PA license, board certification, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS. Colorado license and board certification are required, COVID vaccine preferred, and ER experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado PA license required.
• Board certification required or in process.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS per American Heart Association.
• COVID vaccine preferred.
• 1 year high acuity urgent care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages.
• Evaluate and manage high acuity urgent care patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and minor procedures as appropriate.
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of urgent care conditions and minor injuries.
• Document findings and formulate treatment plans.
• ER experience required; no on‑call duties.

Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA)

• Location: Lafayette, CO
• Setting: Clinic
• Term: 3 months assignment with a potential for extension
• Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri (8a-630p; 930a-8p; 11a-10p) and weekends (8a-6:30p or 830a-7p)
• Pay Rate: $143-$148/hr

This role will include providing urgent care services with a focus on triaging and treating higher acuity patients of all ages.

Qualifications of Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA):

Duties/Responsibilities of Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA):

• Provide urgent care evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages
• Evaluate and manage ESI Level 3, 4, and 5 patients in a fast-paced urgent care setting
• Perform common urgent care procedures including suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and toenail removal
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of "bread and butter" urgent care conditions and minor injuries
• Perform focused histories, physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment plans
• ER experience required; high-acuity urgent care experience preferred
• No call
