Job summary

Veterans Health Administration is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse II Certified Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care within the Department of Veterans Affairs. The NP will manage a panel of patients, lead care planning, order and interpret labs, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and adherence to ICARE values. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with telework not available and an on-site practice

  • Initiates referrals and consults to specialty services.
  • Provides education to patients and their families.
  • Assesses and adjusts the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) II Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) practices in Primary Care Service to provide a full range of services emphasizing quality, timeliness, and the advancement of the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission. The NP provides advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management.

  • Provides education to patients and their families.
