Job summary

Oklahoma City University is seeking a relationship-driven professional to grow clinical placement opportunities for the Kramer School of Nursing's Advanced Practice Programs. This role offers the opportunity to build lasting partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare organizations across the region while directly supporting the education of the next generation of advanced practice nurses.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years in administrative or coordination roles in higher education, healthcare, or related settings.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness for regional travel and some evening/weekend events.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and learning new university software.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and maintain clinical sites and preceptors for Advanced Practice Programs.
  • Grow partnerships with hospitals, clinics and healthcare organizations in the region.
  • Represent the university to outside partners and support student hands-on learning.
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager and faculty to align placements with curricula.

About the Role

Oklahoma City University is seeking a relationship-driven professional to help grow clinical placement opportunities for the Kramer School of Nursing's Advanced Practice Programs. This role offers the opportunity to build lasting partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare organizations across the region while directly supporting the education of the next generation of advanced practice nurses.

As Advanced Practice Clinical Liaison, you'll be a member of the Kramer School of Nursing team, partnering closely with the Operations Manager and program faculty to identify, recruit, and maintain the clinical sites and preceptors that make hands-on learning possible.

This position is well suited for an organized professional with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, who is comfortable representing the university to outside partners, and takes real satisfaction in helping students succeed. The Liaison reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with faculty throughout the Kramer School of Nursing.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will bring strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and an interest in healthcare education. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Two or more years of experience in administrative coordination, project coordination, higher education, healthcare, or a related professional setting preferred. Recent graduates with relevant internship, practicum, or coursework are also encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once
  • Ability to manage day-to-day work with general guidance while collaborating effectively across departments
  • Professional judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Willingness for some regional travel and to participate in occasional evening and weekend events
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new university software and systems
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree
