Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Surgical Physician Assistant to join the Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Gainesville, GA. The role supports four cardiothoracic surgeons and six APPs within a vibrant, multi-disciplinary group.

The position features a four-day work week, rotating weekday/weekend call, and opportunities in EPIC EMR and clinical trials. NGPG is affiliated with NGHS, serving a large Georgia region.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in cardiology, surgery, or cardiovascular care with intraoperative procedural experience in vein harvesting and chest procedures.

Responsibilities

• Rotating call schedule (1:5) with other team members, with extra compensation for weekend coverage.
• Provide thoracic surgical support and patient care in a multidisciplinary Cardiothoracic Surgery team.

Practice Overview:

• EMR Platform - EPIC

* The current team consists of 4 Cardiothoracic surgeons and 6 APPs

• Ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in cardiology, surgery, and or cardiovascular experience with interoperative procedural experience in endoscopic vein and radial harvesting, chest closure and chest tube placement
