The James Oncology Fellowship is designed to deliver structured, proctored clinical rotations and advanced educational experiences within an outpatient oncology environment. This program aims to equip Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with the specialized knowledge and practical skills necessary for successful practice in outpatient oncology clinics. The fellowship encompasses comprehensive exposure to multiple subspecialties, including Hematology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and a range of oncology-related surgical services. Candidates with a focused interest in palliative care may request to spend the duration of the fellowship within that specialty. Through this focused curriculum, participants are thoroughly prepared to meet the complex demands of oncology patient care across diverse clinical settings.
Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a CNP in the State of Ohio. Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Masters degree in Nursing.
OR
Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program. National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant certification. Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a physician assistant. Masters degree.
Applicants must hold Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant licensure.
