Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist II for an inpatient NICU setting. You will deliver advanced pediatric physical therapy services to critically ill newborns, using evidence-based approaches and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The role requires 3+ years of pediatric PT experience and a DC license (or license in your jurisdiction) at hire. Strong leadership and teaching responsibilities are included in this role as a clinical instructor

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of physical therapy experience with 3-4 years in pediatrics preferred.
• NICU PT experience is preferred.
• DC licensure or licensure in treating jurisdiction required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced physical therapy services to a wide spectrum of pediatric disabilities.
• Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate frames of reference and assessment tools.
• Develop and update treatment plans and functional goals with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead, mentor, and act as a back-up clinical instructor for students and junior staff.
