Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician in Gainesville, Florida. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care under a registered nurse's guidance, performing advanced clinical tasks.

Your responsibilities include observing patients, assisting with daily needs, providing advanced care, and supporting the nursing team. This role requires a Certified Nursing Assistant certification and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Join a brand-new facility opening in Spring 2026.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Must obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.

Advanced Patient Care Tech

As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant Required
