Job summary

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford seeks a Pharmacy Advanced Operations Pharmacist to provide expert guidance in complex pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize safe and cost-effective medication systems aligned with evidence-based standards.

The role acts as SME across information systems, automation, sterile/non-sterile compounding, and collaborates with engineering, supply chain, physicians, and nurses to improve patient care and lead quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accreditation body.
Completion of PGY-2 Residency program with hospital experience OR PGY-1 Residency with hospital experience OR 5 years hospital experience.

Responsibilities

Evaluate compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards; advise leadership on improvements.
Serve as SME for complex pharmacy operations and medication use systems.
Promote best practices, new technologies, and optimized workflows to improve quality and productivity.
Design, implement, and maintain SOPs and policies for pharmacy operations and budgets.
Provide integrated services in collaboration with engineering, supply chain, physicians, and nurses.
Identify root causes of operational issues and lead quality initiatives.
