Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama in Montgomery is seeking an Advanced Nursing Extern to support nursing staff under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Qualifications

Job Summary

The Advanced Nursing Extern will be responsible for providing patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Their duties and responsibilities are limited to those that fall under the scope of practice of unlicensed health care providers acting under the direction of a licensed nurse as per the Alabama Board of Nursing. The individual shall support the Nursing department, which includes, but is not limited to, selected technical skills, data collection, and lab specimen collection. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required. Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Must have completed a minimum of Fundamentals of Nursing Care, Pharmacology, and Medication Administration courses in Nursing School.

Licensure & Certification

BLS required.
