Job summary
HealthNet in Indianapolis seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced clinical practice, education, and consultative services within a multidisciplinary team.
You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and authorize prescriptions in collaboration with physicians, while leading staff education to improve care quality.
Occasional travel may be required; HealthNet offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including CME support.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of service standards and regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations.
- Requires clinical expertise as applicable to individual area.
- Ability to assess learning needs and plan educational programs.
- Strong communication, negotiation, collaboration and problem solving skills.
- Ability to be flexible and work effectively in teams/groups.
- Ability to handle pressure of life-threatening situations.
- Travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Assesses health status through health history and physical exam, preventive screening, and risk factor identification.
- Develops differential diagnoses and treatment plans to optimize health at individual/family/community level.
- May conduct patient care conferences, discharge planning, and policy development.
- Prescribes medications per collaborative agreement and prescriptive authority in Indiana; directs standards for nursing practice.
- Serves as clinical resource and advocate for patients, staff, and providers.
- Promotes continuous quality improvement with leadership on quality initiatives and outcomes.
