Job summary

Vervic Inc. in Decatur, AL is seeking an experienced Manual MIG Pipe Welder for a temp-to-hire role. You will perform root and filler welds on pipe and pipe assemblies in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications, using GMAW welding processes.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of pipe welding experience, reads weld symbols, and can operate welding equipment safely. Competitive pay and benefits offered for a skilled welder.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or welding certification preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of pipe welding experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality manual MIG (GMAW) welding on pipe and pipe assemblies.
• Complete root passes, filler passes, and final welds according to specifications and quality standards.
• Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare materials by beveling, cleaning, fitting, and aligning pipe components prior to welding.
• Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, lack of fusion, and other discontinuities.
