Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a driver for Advanced Methane Detection (AMD) missions in Michigan. The role involves operating AMD vehicles, surveying assigned territories, collecting high-quality data, and ensuring complete roadway coverage while working independently in the field.

Candidates must have a chauffeur’s license, a clean driving record, and be within about an hour of the survey areas. Proficiency with GPS/tablets and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Chauffeur's license is required.
• Must pass DMV, background, and drug screening.
• Reside within approximately one hour of the assigned survey territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned survey sections using AMD vehicles.
• Independently analyze mapping areas and develop the most efficient route to ensure complete coverage.
• Complete required survey passes on all roads within the assigned section.
• Operate tablets, onboard computers, GPS systems, and methane detection equipment.
• Start, monitor, and stop surveys while ensuring equipment is operating properly.
• Complete required electronic reporting and documentation.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or equipment concerns.
• Secure and park vehicles at designated facilities after each shift.
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Duties

• The Advanced Methane Detection (AMD) Driver supports our methane emissions reduction and public safety initiatives by operating specialized vehicles equipped with advanced methane detection technology. Drivers are responsible for efficiently surveying assigned territories, collecting high-quality data, and ensuring complete roadway coverage while working independently in the field.


• A key component of this position is the ability to independently review assigned map sections and determine the safest, most efficient driving route to maximize productivity and survey completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive assigned survey sections using Advanced Methane Detection (AMD) vehicles.


• Independently analyze assigned mapping areas and develop the most efficient route to ensure complete coverage while minimizing drive time and unnecessary mileage.


• Complete required survey passes on all roads within the assigned section.


• Operate tablets, onboard computers, GPS systems, and methane detection equipment.


• Start, monitor, and stop surveys while ensuring equipment is operating properly.


• Complete required electronic reporting and documentation.


• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or equipment concerns.


• Secure and park vehicles at designated our facilities at the conclusion of each shift.


• Attend safety meetings, training sessions, and operational calls as required.

Skills: Required Skills

• Chauffeur's license is required for this position!


• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.


• Ability to pass DMV, background, and drug screening requirements.


• Reside within approximately one hour of the assigned survey territory.


• Strong knowledge of navigation techniques


• Proven ability to route yourself efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.


• Comfortable using smartphones, GPS navigation, tablets, and basic computer applications.


• Strong communication and organizational skills.


• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Education

REQUIRED:

• Clearance of motor vehicle check, in addition to required account background checks.


• Clearance of 5 Panel Drug Screen


• Chauffeur's license is required for this position!
