Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent’s Family Medicine team in Warner Robins, GA is hiring a Medical Assistant for a full‑time, 40‑hour week. You will support patient flow, perform vital signs, and assist clinicians in a busy clinic.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or equivalent military training). BLS certification and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214/EMT in lieu of formal MA program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture and specimen handling; executes POCT per orders; adheres to CLIA standards.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication rights.
• Handles duties like refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and proper equipment functioning.
• May train or onboard teammates and participate in committees.
