Job summary

Nomad GCS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead mechanical design for platforms from concept through production. You will create production-ready CAD models and documentation, apply FEA, and ensure compliance with standards across teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, mentorship of junior engineers, and contributions to cost and manufacturability improvements. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) preferred.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support mechanical systems for Nomad vehicles and platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, safety standards, and customer requirements.
• Create CAD documentation including top levels assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts.
• Use FEA to analyze designs and optimize for manufacturability and cost.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Project Management teams.
• Track work hours for each project and be willing to travel as needed.
