Air Liquide Electronics in Fremont, CA is hiring an Advanced Materials Supervisor for our Precursor Group in the Advanced Materials Laboratory. The role focuses on ICP-MS analysis, sample preparation, and trace elemental analysis of ALD precursors in a cleanroom, coordinating with the Laboratory Manager to prioritize work and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will lead the team, maintain SOPs, and drive continuous improvements while utilizing LIMS, Excel, and Google Suite to deliver

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or related field with 2+ years' experience.
• Experience with analytical techniques and experimental design.
• Ability to troubleshoot analyses and maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for establishing a Safety 1st team culture.
• Provide daily updates to Laboratory Manager/Sr. Lab Manager.
• Prioritize daily production activities to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure SOPs are current and followed; submit change requests as needed.
• Participate in Quality/Intelex data evaluation and verification.
• Engage in ICP-MS optimization, sample prep, and waste consolidation.
• Maintain instrument fleet and assist with procuring consumables.
• Ensure staff training and cross-training plans are in place.
• Sustain 6S program and drive continuous improvements.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

Our Advanced Materials Laboratory, which specializes in the ICP-MS analysis, is looking for a highly skilled Supervisor Precursor Group. The ideal candidate will be an ICP-MS analyst, and will be performing sample preparation and trace elemental analysis of atomic layer deposition (ALD) precursors in a cleanroom environment. They will coordinate with the laboratory manager/senior manager to prioritize work, and ensure the lab meets or exceeds all safety and quality standards. They will need to be proficient in computer skills such as LIMS, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite products (Sheets, Docs, Slides). Be ready to work in an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic environment and be part of an enthusiastic team passionate about providing quality data and answers to our customers in a timely manner. The candidates would preferably have prior experience with trace elemental analysis and wish to pursue a long-term career in the semiconductor industry. The chosen candidate must have initiative, be self-motivated, and a strong passion for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for establishing a Safety 1st team culture
• Provide daily updates to the Laboratory Manager/Sr. Lab Manager
• Prioritize the team's daily production activities and ensure they have the resources needed to meet our customer requirements
• Ensure staff follow Standard Operating Procedures and submit change requests to ensure SOPs are current and accurate
• Participate in Quality/Intelex program and ensure the accurate evaluation, interpretation, and verification of data (samples, calibration, quality control) for analysis performed by the team
• Participate in production activities, including ICP-MS optimization, sample preparation, and waste consolidation.
• Ensure that the team’s instrument fleet is properly maintained
• Assist the Laboratory Manager/Sr. Lab Manager with the procurement of consumables and spare parts
• Ensure the team is adequately trained, which includes preparing a cross-training plan in
• support of a training gap analysis
• Sustain 6S program
• Identify and implement continuous improvements

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or related field and 2+ years experience, or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience
• Demonstrated understanding of a wide variety of analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated understanding of analytical concepts and experimental design
• Ability to troubleshoot and apply analytical thinking regarding chemical analyses and processes
• Strong computer skills (Scientific instrument software, Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite, LIMS concepts)
• Proven success working in a team environment
• Strong, effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must have strong initiative and be self-motivated
• Strong organizational skillsPossess continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
• Occasional weekend work or overtime will be expected
• Ability to perform standard computer work (using mouse and keyboard, sitting, etc.) for extended periods of time, up to 7 hours per day
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs with assistance from others
