Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent plus 1–3 years marine painting experience.
• Knowledge of ship terminology and OSHA regulations desired.
• Experience with marine coating applications and surface preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance and ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Prepare work site and transport paint, tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and mix solvents according to formula.
• Remove grease, dirt, paint, and rust from surfaces using abrasives, solvents, brushes, etc.
• Protect surfaces or items not to be painted using masking tape or other material as required.
• Operate or tend painting and/or sandblasting equipment to paint/sandblast surfaces.
• Paint areas inaccessible to spray gun using brush/roller; mix and match colors.
• Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
