Job summary

Copeland in Sidney, OH is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support the AMT department with quality systems, gauging, and process improvements focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

The role involves programming gauging systems (CMMs), leading cross-functional teams, training technicians, and implementing corrective actions while adhering to lean manufacturing principles and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering field or 2+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience in lieu of degree.
• Understanding of GD&T principles.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decisions.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead quality systems projects within the AMT department.
• Perform quality systems installations, qualifications, capability studies, and gage R&R for assembly and machining.
• Program inspection systems using manual methods and CAD models in simulated environments.
• Develop new gauging methodologies to improve accuracy and reduce cost.
• Provide training and technical support for inspection systems; resolve production issues.
• Initiate corrective actions and implement temporary/permanent solutions.
• Ensure alignment with safety and regulatory requirements.
