  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a capital-intensive, highly engineered product business.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong communication and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technology road map for the manufacturing location to maximize machine utilization and productivity while minimizing cost.
  • Assist in Make vs Buy decisions and footprint plans to rationalize fixed overhead and leverage core competencies.
  • Provide technical input on capital expense needs tied to startup of future state processes.
  • Lead manufacturing project development and implementation activities through IRPX program gates.
  • Procure tooling, machines, and equipment to support site capacity and capability roadmaps with well-documented processes.
  • Ensure operator and maintenance training for new production equipment meets standards and sign-off requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, and suppliers to optimize cost and manufacturability.
  • Serve as a stakeholder on large, complex programs with significant business impact.

Job Overview

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will support the development and execution of manufacturing strategies by optimizing production capabilities, implementing new technologies, and improving operational efficiency. This onsite role partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing readiness, support new product introductions, manage capital investments, and deliver scalable, cost-effective production solutions. The position plays a key role in advancing site technology roadmaps, improving productivity, and ensuring successful implementation of complex manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop technology road map for manufacturing location to maximize machine utilization and productivity while minimizing cost.
  • Assist in Make vs Buy decision on product introduction, i2v, and footprint plans with the goal of fixed overhead rationalization and leverage of core competencies.
  • Provide technical input on capital expense needs tied to manufacturing startup of project future state and processes.
  • Lead manufacturing project development and implementation activities through IRPX program gates.
  • Procure tooling, machines, and equipment necessary to support approved site capacity and capability roadmap and deliver capable and well documented manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure operator and maintenance training for new production equipment meets standards and final sign-off requirements.
  • Serve in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, and suppliers to optimize cost competitiveness and manufacturability.
  • Serve as a critical stakeholder of large, complex programs with significant impact to the business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a similar capital intensive, highly engineered product business.
Preferences
  • Self-starter capabilities with strong technical and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to develop and deliver technical information to team members, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
  • This position is based at a manufacturing plant that will be their primary focus and will also support specific projects at other plants that may not have a full time AME.
  • May require travel 10-25%.
