Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions seeks a skilled maintenance technician to service and troubleshoot production equipment in our Howell, MI plant. You will perform preventative maintenance on presses, sanders, and conveyors, and support project work as needed.

Requires working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, and reading blueprints. Must follow safety procedures, be able to work overtime and be on call during weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a Vocational Degree in a related field or 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication and welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, job data sheets and safety instructions.
• Must follow and support all safety procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and part replacements on mechanical equipment (presses, sanders, conveyors).
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues; document daily issues via emails and reports.
• Work independently or in a team to support projects and maintenance tasks.
• Read blueprints and maintain equipment in accordance with job data sheets and safety instructions.
