Job summary

Pafford Medical Services is accepting applications for a Paramedic in the Oklahoma City area. Openings include full-time and part-time positions across Del City, Piedmont, Union City, Bethany/Warr Acres, Yukon, Mustang and Geary.

The Paramedic will provide Advanced Life Support, assess and stabilize patients, and transport to appropriate facilities while coordinating with first responders and hospital staff to ensure high-quality pre-hospital care.

Qualifications

• Paramedic Licensure.
• CPR for the Health Care Provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Good knowledge of area street systems, addresses and EMS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs fast, efficient Advanced Life Support to the ill and injured.
• Recognizes and understands medical emergencies and performs differential diagnoses.
• Performs critical physical examinations.
• Recognizes common cardiac dysrhythmias and treatment modalities for life-threatening dysrhythmias.
• Understands pharmacological treatment for critically ill patients.
• Transports patients to medical facilities and coordinates with EMS partners.
• Files standardized patient care reports and maintains communication with hospital physicians.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely and maintains equipment.
