Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Paramedic to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) in pre-hospital settings, including emergency and non-emergency transport. The role requires delivering timely, professional care across ages, coordinating with EMS and healthcare partners, and documenting patient care per NJ guidelines and HMH protocols.

Responsibilities include performing ALS, communicating assessments, and ensuring safe transport while adapting to hazardous or uncontrolled environments

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• ICS-100 or equivalent Incident Command System training.
• ICS-200 or related resources.
• ICS-700/NIMS Introduction.
• IS-800.D National Response Framework introduction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office/Google Suite).
• Paramedic certifications listed in Licenses section.

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services.
• Deliver quality pre-hospital care to all age groups.
• Ensure safe and prompt transportation of patients.
• Complete patient care reports for each patient.
• Coordinate with police, fire, other EMS and healthcare providers.
• Follow New Jersey guidelines and HMH protocols for ALS services.
