Job summary
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-eligible or board-certified advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist to join the BCVI program across our Health Network hospitals. The role provides advanced heart failure care including mechanical circulatory support and transplant within a comprehensive cardiovascular institute.
Qualified candidates will have completed an ACGME-approved fellowship, be eligible for Illinois medical licensure, and join a physician-led group
Qualifications
- Board-eligible or board-certified in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology as applicable.
- Completed an ACGME-approved advanced heart failure fellowship.
- Illinois medical licensure and hospital privileges.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced heart failure care including mechanical circulatory support and transplant.
- Practice within BCVI and a comprehensive cardiovascular program with cardiothoracic surgery, imaging and interventional cardiology.
- Diagnose, manage and treat the spectrum of advanced heart failure, including cardiogenic shock and transplant.
- Operate as a Health System Clinician within Northwestern Medical Group and BCVI.
