Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia seeks a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator 1 - Advanced Heart Failure to join our team on a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule. This role focuses on patient education, protocol adherence and coordinating investigational therapies within the heart failure program.

Qualifications

Certification/Licensure: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association; eligible to practice as RN in VA.
Education: BSN or ADN; if ADN, must plan BSN and complete within 24 months.
Minimum 1 year of research training or protocol implementation.

Responsibilities

Provides patient education and information on medication dosage and disease treatment.
Assesses patient and family needs, including educational, psychological and spiritual aspects.
Administers investigational medications and conducts patient assessments during visits.
Performs nursing duties as assigned to support study needs.
Explains protocol elements and conducts study tasks under supervision.
