Job description

Overview

LMI is looking for an Advanced Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to design, build, and operate the enterprise infrastructure that enables secure, scalable, and mission‑ready technology solutions. This is a hands‑on, builder‑lead role combining strategic vision with deep technical execution across cloud, hybrid infrastructure, DevSecOps platforms, and enterprise services. The role focuses on creating infrastructure patterns, standards, and platforms that integrate seamlessly with enterprise AI systems, business applications, IT service delivery, and cybersecurity programs, enabling teams to deploy solutions rapidly, reliably, and securely.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement enterprise architecture patterns and technical standards to support scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
  • Design, build, and operate DevSecOps platforms and CI/CD pipelines that accelerate solution delivery across applications and enterprise platforms
  • Architect and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure to support diverse workloads, including compute, storage, virtualization, and containerized services
  • Build and maintain secure network architectures, including segmentation, hybrid connectivity, and operational guardrails
  • Manage infrastructure lifecycle operations: provisioning, patching, upgrades, monitoring, capacity planning, and end‑of‑life management
  • Implement and enforce security boundaries and hardening standards across all infrastructure layers, in alignment with enterprise cybersecurity policies
  • Support integration with enterprise AI platforms, business applications, and IT service delivery workflows, ensuring infrastructure enables adoption and operational readiness
  • Collaborate with platform engineering, AI, and application teams to deliver scalable, reusable infrastructure and platform services
  • Establish standards and tooling for observability, automation, and operational reliability, ensuring infrastructure is monitored and manageable at scale
  • Provide guidance and technical leadership for technology portfolio initiatives, ensuring infrastructure aligns with strategic objectives and supports emerging business and technology needs
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, and platform engineering
  • Hands‑on experience with DevSecOps platforms and automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong expertise in cloud and hybrid environments, compute, storage, and virtualization
  • Experience designing and operating secure network architectures and hybrid connectivity
  • Knowledge of security boundary management, hardening, and operational controls
  • Experience managing the full infrastructure lifecycle, including automation, monitoring, and capacity planning
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) and automation tooling
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams, translating requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions
  • Strong communication skills and experience leading technical teams by example
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise AI and analytics platforms, supporting integration of AI workloads into operational environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications and IT service delivery platforms
  • Experience building internal developer platforms or reusable infrastructure services
  • Knowledge of zero trust networking and hybrid connectivity patterns
  • Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring platforms
  • Exposure to regulated or security‑sensitive environments
  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
What Success Looks Like
  • Infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable, enabling diverse enterprise workloads including AI and mission applications
  • Platform services and technical standards are widely adopted across enterprise teams
  • Operational automation and observability reduce manual intervention and increase resilience
  • Security hardening and boundaries are consistently enforced across all systems
  • Teams can rapidly deploy applications, AI capabilities, and new services using standardized infrastructure
  • Integration points with enterprise AI, applications, IT service delivery, and portfolio initiatives are clear, reusable, and functional
Why This Role Matters

Modern enterprises depend on infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and flexible enough to support business applications, AI, and emerging technologies. The Advanced Engineering and Infrastructure Lead ensures that enterprise infrastructure is operationally resilient, governed, and aligned with technical and business objectives, enabling teams to deliver innovation at scale while maintaining security and reliability. This role is critical for connecting infrastructure with enterprise AI, business applications, IT services, and cybersecurity programs, ensuring that technology delivery is both efficient and strategically aligned.
