Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Advanced Technical Writer to develop and maintain DoD technical documentation, IETMs, and maintenance procedures for hardware and software systems.

You will translate complex engineering information into clear content, interpret engineering drawings, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to publish accurate manuals. The role requires a strong command of DoD MIL standards and CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks;

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience translating engineering information into clear technical content.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
• Understanding of DoD MIL standards and style guides.
• Ability to develop content from engineering and SME input.

• Create, plan, write, edit, and maintain complex technical documentation.
• Develop and update IETMs, maintenance procedures, and test procedures.
• Translate complex engineering processes into clear content for users.
• Edit notes and source material for clarity and publication readiness.
• Apply formatting, standards, and style guides to documentation.
• Research and interpret technical information for accurate docs.
• Review engineering drawings and related information for accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering, software, and product teams to gather content.
• Manage complex documentation from inception through completion and report progress.
