Job summary

RH Interior Design is seeking an Advanced Designer in Malibu, CA to lead high-end residential projects from concept through completion, ensuring the RH brand language is reflected in every detail.

You will translate design concepts into presentations, manage construction timelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive spaces for discerning clients. A strong client-relations focus and leadership of junior designers are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of interior design experience including architectural design and project management.
• Experience with new construction and renovation timelines (design of kitchens, bathrooms, millwork).
• Applied knowledge of interior construction and installation.
• NCIDQ certification and degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Mac OS, iOS, Microsoft Office and Google apps.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite for space planning/rendering.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a luxury experience throughout every facet of RH Interior Design, ensuring each interaction and detail reflects the taste, quality and point of view of the RH brand
• Lead multiple large-scale residential design projects from concept through completion, including consultations, site visits, deliveries and installations
• Translate the RH Design Ethos into compelling presentations that communicate design concepts, space-planning direction and product selections
• Cultivate enduring client relationships by qualifying and educating prospective clients and guiding them through every phase of their design journey
• Inspire and support a high-performing team of Designers, fostering creativity, collaboration and design excellence
• Drive revenue, productivity, referral business and client satisfaction while championing RH's vision, strategies and financial goals
• Strengthen RH's presence in the local luxury market by maintaining expertise in residential design and architecture and actively engaging with the design community

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of interior design experience, including architectural design, project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Practical expertise in new construction and renovation timelines, including the design of custom kitchens, bathrooms, and millwork
• Applied knowledge of interior construction and installation
• NCIDQ certification and a degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field preferred
• Proficiency with Mac operating systems, iOS devices, Microsoft Office and Google applications
• In-depth proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other related space planning/rendering programs preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Move, lift, and position small to medium items up to 25 lbs., using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
• Navigate the Gallery floor, stockroom, office, client homes, and exterior areas as needed
• Remain in a stationary or standing position for extended periods of time
• Perform physical activities, including walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing stairs
• Travel locally to client homes, project sites, and other RH locations as business needs require
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
