Job summary

Mercy South Community is seeking a Weekend Float Outpatient CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT scans and assist radiologists in interventional procedures. You will provide essential patient care, participate in on-call coverage, and help organize the daily CT schedule to keep workflow efficient.

This PRN role requires graduation from an accredited imaging program, ARRT (CT) certification, BLS, and at least one year of CT experience; state licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Imaging Program with completion of clinical hours.
• One year of CT-related experience preferred.
• ARRT CT certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required or expected per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT scans and assist radiologists in interventional procedures.
• Provide essential patient care and ensure safety during imaging.
• Be available for on‑call coverage as needed and support CT team on shift.
• Organize the daily CT schedule to maintain efficient workflow.

Overview

Provide diagnostic C.T. scans for interpretation by radiologist or performing physician in the performance of interventional and special procedures (biopsy, ablation, myelography, arthography and any other such procedures). Assist radiologist in the performance of special C.T. procedures and provide the patient care essential for all procedures. Be able to be on call if needed. Apply principles of radiation safety and be a dedicated resource to the CT team on shift. Able to organize the daily schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completion of required clinical hours.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience.
• Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Certification/Registration: ARRT (R) (CT); Basic Life Support (BLS)
