Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• CRT or RRT certification (RRT must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Respiratory Therapist licensed in KY.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time and follow hospital policies.
• Provide quality respiratory therapy as ordered by physicians and initiate/evaluate protocol steps.
• Assess, develop care plans, and assist with discharge planning as needed.
• Provide patient and family education related to medications and therapy modalities.
• Participate in monitoring quality of care and maintain neat, accurate documentation.
• Assist in day-to-day operations: entering charges, ordering supplies and medications, and other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and participate in in-service training.
