Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Controls and Automation Engineer for the Grand Prairie plant in Texas. The role focuses on designing, developing, and troubleshooting factory electrical control systems and machinery with emphasis on PLC/robotic integration.

Responsibilities include programming Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and safety systems, plus supporting networked equipment, and supervising maintenance staff as required. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in the field are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of Electrical Controls/System Engineering industry experience.
• Familiarity with ladder logic and industrial automation software.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and robotic interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot factory electrical control systems and machinery.
• Program and support PLC-based hardware/software, especially Allen-Bradley systems.
• Test and maintain electrical equipment for manufacturing and power transmission.
• Troubleshoot network and electrical issues on conveyors, motors, and drives.
• Develop operator interfaces and ensure OSHA electrical safety compliance.
• Supervise maintenance staff as needed and manage project scopes.
