Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant/Nurse Assistant to provide patient care under supervision in an outpatient physician practice. You will perform vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs while supporting clinical workflows and accurate clinic charges.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited MA or NA program, with 2 years of medical office experience or 5 years of related clinical experience if uncertified, and holds BCLS; CMA-AAMA or CNA credentials are required

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program is required.
• Two years of medical office experience or five years of related clinical experience if no formal certification.
• Certifications: BCLS required; CMA-AAMA or CNA required at hire; other clinical certs (phlebotomy, EKG, X-ray) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of physician, APP, or RN.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and document vital signs; support clinical workflows.
• Assist with clinic charges processing and accurate documentation in outpatient/physician practice settings.
• Demonstrate strong patient care skills and peer leadership in the practice setting.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is highly preferred.
