Job summary

Jefferson Health's Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an Advanced Clinician Physical Therapist to evaluate, treat, and discharge plan for a full patient caseload across acute and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes specialty practice, mentorship, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to advance patient function.

Responsibilities include leading advanced therapy interventions, teaching staff, and contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• 7 years of clinical practice with at least 2-3 years in specialty area, and at least 2000 hours of specialty practice.
• PA state PT license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced therapy evaluations, develop treatment plans, and coordinate discharge planning for a full patient caseload across settings.
• Provide specialty-specific teaching, mentor staff, and support staff orientation and competency assessment.
• Collaborate with leadership on program development and performance improvement activities in the specialty area.
• Participate in student and resident education (ICE, level 1 rotations, residents and fellows).
• Deliver organized treatment programs to help patients recover and rehabilitate, with proper documentation of progress and discharge criteria.
