Job summary

Covenant Health Oncology Group is seeking an Advanced Chemo Pharmacy Tech to support infusion services at Oak Ridge under pharmacist supervision. The role involves preparing and dispensing chemotherapy, compounding, and ensuring safe handling of hazardous drugs in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include training technicians, inventory management, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in the storage, handling, and disposal of chemotherapy drugs.
• Two (2) years experience with State approved certification.
• Licensed by the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire and maintain active status thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Dispense chemotherapy under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in training technicians in levels I and II.
• Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and ensure safe handling of chemotherapy agents.
• Support implementation of policies, procedures and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform calculations to prepare, compound and dispense chemotherapy medications.
